Jennifer and Bill are amazing people. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a more stress free bride in my life. They both took their time, relishing every moment with family and friends. Their families were so sweet, and their friends were a riot.
The wedding, held at the Oak Lawn Methodist Church, was beautiful. (Man, that church has the most amazing stained glass I’ve ever seen in my life). Bill’s daughter did the reading, and one of his groomsmen sang possibly the most moving rendition of “The Lord’s Prayer”, that I’ve ever heard.
There was a bit of giggling during the kneeling, and Jennifer didn’t realize until moments later that Bill had “Help, Call 911” taped to the soles of his shoes. Of course she realized it was all in good fun. The congregation enjoyed communion together.
Bill and Jennifer left the church accompanied by dazzling sparklers. The classic T-Bird that they left in was beyond cool.
The reception was held at the fabulous Hotel Zaza. That place is so unbelievably cool. If you haven’t been there yourself, it’s hard to explain. You just gotta see it for yourself. Dragonfly is one of the most fabulous restaurants in Dallas.
Again, everything was top tier. (Our Couples know how to do it right!) The amazing cakes were made by one of Jennifer’s relatives. I asked her about her business because I was so impressed, and she told me, “Oh no, I just made this in my kitchen for Jennifer”. Wow. Shock and Awe. Martha Stewart watch out!
Jennifer and Bill had the best time. As did the guests. One of the standout moments was Jennifer’s Dance with her father. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
