Despite being stopped a few times due to rain, we were able to get some wonderful shots of the beautiful Jennifer at the Dallas Arboretum.

Catherine is SUCH a pretty PRETTY lady. And OMG, she is so sweet! She’s playful and fun.

Now, take a look at that amazing smile………..get ready………ready?………..she got her braces off the day before this shoot.

Wow!!! I’m going to her dentist!

April lives in Waco, and so getting to Dallas isn’t always convenient. She scheduled far ahead for her bridal shoot. Unfortunately, the day we had planned so long for was the very weekend we got over one foot of snow…..
But that didn’t bother April at all. She was raring to go! We had originally scheduled to shoot at the Dallas Arboretum, but that was closed due to weather so we had to make a quick plan B. April was staying with a friend in McKinney, so Mike and I piled the gear into our car, and made our journey out there. We didn’t want April to drive far in such dicey weather.
We all underestimated just how coooooooold it was! Mike and I wore heavy coats over multiple layers of clothing. Mittens, hats, scarves, the whole shebang. But it was still freezing. But we didn’t complain because there was the beautiful April, standing in the freezing wind in nothing but her beautiful bridal gown. She shivered and shivered, but never once complained. We would quickly take the shots, and bundle her right up again.
I’ve got to give total props to April. She is a trooper like no other I’ve ever seen. She braved freezing wind in a foot of snow, was content to shoot at the only place we could find that was close to her friends house (a little wooded area just off a highway), and never once complained of the uncomfort even though it was obvious that she was frozen.
When it was time to shoot, she would take off all the coats and blankets, and pose away like a supermodel. She was one determined lady:

A composite shot I did inspired by the beautiful Biggers shot. This was taken in the daytime, and we added the lantern and the night effects digitally. It was fun to work on.

The following photos are as shot, with a little color tweaks here and there:

We’ve known Megan, via the internet for some time now. She’s a wedding and portrait photographer from Tennessee who’s just always loved our work. When she became engaged last year, she and her fiance decided that they just had to use us, and called to see if we would travel to Tennessee to shoot her wedding, bridal, and boudior shots for her.
Our answer was “Of Course!”
So Mike and I piled all the gear in the car, and traversed the icy snowy country side and made out way to Knoxville. (Knoxville is actually a super cool town!)
I knew she was sweet, but I had no idea how tall and absolutely gorgeous she was until we met her in person. I’m pretty sure she’s the first bride that has ever been taller than I am.
Because it was still slushy from their recent snows, we started out at the Crown Plaza where we were all staying. Then Megan, being the trooper she is, braved the outdoors to get some cool outdoor shots as well.

When Megan saw the photos, she had this to say about them on her facebook site. I have to say, it’s one of the sweetest and most endearing comments ever:

“Visions in White, the world’s best wedding photography team, a husband that manipulates light like putty in his hand and a wife that photographs to makes each vision come to fruition… I just love them :)”

and:

“I have spent the last 15 minutes deliberating which bridal photo I want as my profile photo,
Oh my gosh I am so in love with them, I look at them and think am I really that beautiful? You really did it, over the top! I look gorgeous in every one of them!!! Cindy you captured emotion on my face that only a true artist …can capture. Each and every photo tells a story, and has a caption… The best portraits are ones that gently place words in your mind and embrace your soul. All the photos do that for me. I love them, I love you , and I love the fact that you made your eyeballs bleed just for me :)

And yes, she really is that beautiful. :-)

And just for giggles, here is a photo of me fluffing and foofing:

So if you ever need a GREAT Knoxville based photographer, get in touch with me, and I’ll get you in touch with the beautiful Ms. Megan.

Check out this dress! It’s AMAZING! It had a really Grecian feel to it, and I tried to capture that kind of feel with her photos. She loved them!

We just photographed her wedding, and I should have them blogged in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Amber is a natural beauty, soft spoken, and a brilliant veterinarian! We were blessed the day of her photo shoot. The weather was perfect, the winds calm, and the light…perfect. Amber just said her vows this past Saturday, so stay tuned for her and Kyle’s beautiful wedding photos.

Donell made her own gown and chose her favorite location at the Santa Monica Beach Hotel. She calls it “The Ruins”.
I had some fun with the photos, and added a bit of mist in one, and a blue moon in another.

I’m convinced after meeting Jennifer that some people are just born with an “elegance” gene. She looks a bit like Eva Longoria, but has the style sense of Jackie O. (Did I mention she was fun too? She had Mike and I cracking up the entire shoot).

She designed the dress she wore in these photos, with help from the alteration magic of Mii of Mii’s Bridal. While the dress had many beautiful touches, the most elegant of all was her jeweled collar. (Rarely seen outside of Europe). When I first met her, she told me about this particular design decision. “I think high collars are so womanly. I’m having jewels put on the inside of the collar, so only my husband can see them”. The collar was also detachable for the reception.

Her reception was being held at the stunning ZaZa, so we were allowed to shoot there. The location was jaw droppingly amazing. Rose of Zaza was incredible. If they have any open dates still left for 2010, I’d advise you to book immediately. There is really no place that I know of that has this kind of WOW factor.

Gorgeous Bride + Couture One of a kind dress+ Amazing Location= Killer Photos.

Location: Hotel Zaza
Dress Alterations: Mii’s Bridal

Jennifer is not just drop dead gorgeous, she’s kind and funny as well. She and her fiance (now husband as of a few days ago) are one of our favorite couples of all time. They are just the kind of people who go out of their way to treat everyone they meet as old friends.
Jennifer wanted something different for her bridal photos. We talked about different options, but this lady knows exactly what she wants, and decided she LOVED the Old Red Courthouse in Downtown Dallas. And I have to hand it to her….it was a terrific location.
Of course it didn’t hurt that she’s so beautiful, we could have photographed her anywhere and it would have turned out great!
