Jessica and her mother booked us on line, so although coordinating things on the phone with her mother, I had never had an opportunity to meet any of them prior to the wedding.
Boy, what a pleasant surprise! Jessica was gorgeous, Hayden was dashing, and the venue, food and decor were insane.

For instance, just check out the amazing florals and cakes below. There was no “fake” in those cakes…..it was all real, and they were huge. But I guess when you are feeding 500 guests you gotta go big. I’m suprised anyone could fit anything more after the hor dourves, and plated 3 course meal. However I don’t think there was any left. The flowers were EVERYWHERE, and they were simply amazing. Fete des Fleurs made everything so floral and aromatic.

Jessica and Hayden got married on a pink stage draped with orchids and crystal surrounded by huge boquets. One of our favorite officiants, Rev. Diane Robertson performed the beautiful ceremony.

After that, the guests retired to a cocktail hour, followed by an amazing reception. I have to say that the service at the Ritz was Bar None. I’ve never seen anything so elegant.

After dinner, Jessica’s father made a moving toast in where he removed a special, unremovable (without a special tool) diamond braclet from Jessica’s delicate wrist, indicating that she was now free. I thought that was so lovely.

The fabulous Rodney Booth Band performed. We love working with them because they get the crowd so into dancing. Everyone had a fantastic time. Including us.
We’d like to thank Jessica and Hayden and their lovely families. You guys were all so wonderful to work with.

Megan is a WONDERFUL wedding, portrait, and lifestyle photographer. Pete is a Philosophy major, who has an intensense love for motorcycles, and deals with them as his business. But he’s still a philosopher at heart. He is a total romantic guy as Megan will tell you. He’s sweet, loving, nurturing, and doesn’t have a problem showing his emotions. But he’s an adventure junkie.
Megan is his perfect soulmate. She’s an artist with very deep thoughts of her own. But she never hesitates to jump on the back of Pete’s super fast motorcycles.
It’s not just the motorcycles….I think that is how they approach life. They are “all in”. They are in tuned to everything. They love being on the constant high called life.
This is a very special couple.
So here is the scoop as I understand it: They had been hanging out for a while, when there was a big fire in downtown Knoxville. So being photographers and adventure junkies, they went to check it out. And they kissed. And that is why their motto is: “The fire is still burning”.
Exactly three years, at the exact time of that first kiss…they were married. Ok, how romantic is that? The exact time…..

Megan and Pete had such a beautiful, emotional wedding. Let me share the story with you:

Here is a photo collection of Megan opening Pete’s gift to her. It was a roll of film of the first shots she ever took of him. He wrote on the back of the film all the reason’s he loved her. He also saved every post it note she ever left him on his pillow. One of those notes was about them being married. He inscribed it on a watch he gave her. So sweet!

Megan and I

John and Cathy’s wedding day may have been snowy and icy outdoors, but the ceremony and reception was warm and inviting. Their wedding was held at the Dallas World Aquarium, and many of Cathy’s family came all the way from Korea to witness the beautiful union.
Cathy and John wanted a very simple and beautiful wedding, and opted out of the traditional festivities including the garter, bouquet toss, and formal leave. Instead of one large wedding cake, they put smaller cakes on each guest table.

Thomas is a wonderful guy and also a photographer. You can tell he has a great eye, because he chose the sweet, beautiful Rebecca. They share a strong love for the Lord.
Rebecca is also incredibly talented as at wedding design and coordination. She designed and made every single floral design at the wedding, the various cakes, and even her own underdress. (It was gorgeous!) She also added beautiful sleeves to her gown.
I loved the way they looked at each other all night. The love in their eyes was inspiring.
The wedding was so lovely, and so well done, that it was hard to believe Rebecca had done all of it on her own, and she wasn’t the least bit frazzled on the wedding day. When I asked her if she had any advice for future brides she told me “take every moment in time”. Not only is she a beauty, she is wise as well.
After leaving the wedding, they headed out to Honeymoon in the Keys. Rebecca reported it was beautiful and 70 degrees. They also had a blast parasailing. I can’t wait to see the Tom’s photos from the Honeymoon.

Here’s proof that a good man will do anything for the lady he loves. Shortly before their wedding date, Logan, a McKinney, TX Firefighter had a horrible knee injury which required surgery. He was told that he would have to be in a wheelchair during the scheduled time of his and Kathleen’s wedding. Did he postpone the wedding?
Nope!
Did he get married in a wheel chair? With the aid of crutches, or even a leg brace?
Nope!
Fueled by pure love for the beautiful Kathleen, he walked down the aisle, and just as manly and touching, cried when he saw her enter the chapel. He stood tall and steady during the vows and ring exchange. He even braved through the formal photography.
After entering the reception, and surprising Kathleen with a first dance (she hadn’t thought him able), even the pain meds couldn’t keep him on his feet any longer. Finally this calendar model Fireman couldn’t stay on his feet any longer, and enjoyed much of the rest of the reception from his wheelchair.
But low and behold, when it was time to cut the cake, or throw the garter, or perform the last dance, or particiapate in the leave, he hobble from his wheelchair for a moment. He was afraid that his being in the chair would ruin the perfect wedding Kathleen had planned. Kathleen of course was worried for him and begged him back to the chair.
Now that is two people who totally love each other!

Ok, who has the best job in the world???? Me! Every week I get to photograph FANTASTIC people, and share in the biggest day in their lives. We are constantly honored to work for the sweetest, most gorgeous people (inside and out), at the most outrageous venues that DFW has to offer. Believe me, we are constantly counting our blessings.

Amber and Kyle got married at the First United Methodist Church in Keller, TX. The FABULOUS reception was held at the Sky Creek Ranch Golf club in the same city.

Amber’s dress was crazy beautiful. She added jewel encrusted straps just for the ceremony. (At least half of our brides could be designers!) Amber is blessed with natural good looks, as is her now hubby, Kyle. Kyle was a bit freaked out about a last minute hair cut gone wrong, but I think he looks fantastic.

When Amber was walked down the aisle by her father, I saw in my lens a guy who tried really hard to keep it together. He smiled, he laughed, he cried…..she was truly stunning.

The kids, as always, were adorable. The little ring bearer, entrusted with the actually rings, had some wonderful moments on the altar area. He was a little comic.

Then….off to the reception which was beautifully lit. They had a signature monogram lit on the floor, and the ceiling was lit with stars and a very realistic lighting of the moon. The music and decor were other highlights. The Rodney Booth Band was incredible, and oh so reminesant of the big bands of past days.

Everyone had a wonderful time. Kyle and Amber danced the night away with all their families and best friends. What could be better?

Christina met Clay about four years ago, when she joined the White Rock Lake Rowing Team. After getting to know her a bit, Clay the handsome rowing coach decided to send her a text to invite her out on a date. Unfortunately she was in Italy at the moment. However she texted him back, explaining the situation, and decided to meet up with him when she returned to the US.
The rest as they say is history.
They married at the Church of he Incarnation on McKinney Avenue, and then were whisked off to their beautiful reception at The Hills Country Club. The day couldn’t have been more beautiful, so we were able to do some nice outdoor photos by the club’s lake, as swans drifted by.
Indoor the reception, the guests were treated to sensorary delights of all kinds. They enjoyed a cocktail hour accompanied by the glorious music of The Hunter Sullivan Band. The plated dinner was served on gorgeous tables decorated with the amazing floral talents by Botanical Arts. (We’d worked with Mami before, and her work is INCREDIBLE!)
Everyone had a blast, and Mike and I couldn’t quite smiling while watching this beautiful couple dance with each other. It’s something in the way they look at each other….pure delight!

Donell and Sageev are a fascinating and wonderful couple. They are both doctors, she’s a dermitologist, and he’s a biological reseach engineer. But don’t think for a moment that this makes them an “all work and no fun” couple, because nothing could be further than the truth. Their favorite thing to do is hang out with friends, have fun, and enjoy their cocktails. Having gotten to know Donell a bit via the internet, I could tell she was a cool person and Mike and I really looked forward to going out to sunny California to shoot our very first Goth Wedding.

Donell is incredibly crafty. She made her gown, as well as the gowns of all her attendance. She made and/or designed practically everything she had at her wedding, even though it looked as though she could have bought everything at some Goth version of Neiman Marcus.

The wedding was in fact a Handfasting ceremony that took place at the Santa Monica Beach Hotel overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Donell entered to “Phantom of the Opera”. A gorgeous sunset toast followed.

The reception followed at the hotel, where guests were treated to several luxurious food stations, featuring yummies from the ocean, as well as Sageev’s Indian inspired dishes. The dessert table was incredible and went on for a good twenty feet. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it all!

Donell and Sageev gifted all of their attendants with a beautiful silver chalice. They gifted the rest of the guests with Donell’s beautiful fabric roses (which she made of course!), Gargoyls, velvet embelished candles, silver bells, and Indian wood carved elephants (for further good luck). The guest book was a beautiful aged scroll. The pen used to sign it was a feather embellished caligraphy pen.

Donell cried during her last dance with Sageev. They had their perfect wedding. And it was done their way. Just as they’d always dreamed.

We wish to thank Donell, Sageev, and Sageev’s family for being so wonderfully generous to us while we were there. (She even gave me a beautiful silver circlet). All their friends were wonderful. A special shout out also goes to my friend Sooze, who introduced Donell and Sageev to our work. It was wonderful to have worked with them.
