about Welcome to our all new blog! We are super excited about it. Just some general info about us: Mike and I are a husband and wife team. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and we’ve been living happily ever after ever since. We love shooting weddings. What’s not to love? It’s like going to a party every weekend, and having the honor to record it for other people who are madly in love too. Mike’s the genius behind all things technical. He loves every facet of lighting. He’s nuts about gadgets and gear. I’m more of the artsy type. I have a blast photoshopping and retouching great images. Both of us love photojournalism, and just letting the story unfold. It’s like real life, only with better lighting, and more fanciful! We hope you enjoy our new blog. To see more examples, the old Blog is located at http://weeklyvisions.blogspot.com Main Website can be found at www.visionsinwhite.com.

What a gorgeous couple, and what a fun evening. Hugs and smooches to you both!

Jenn and Norwood are a great couple, and also very traditional in the way they view their wedding photography.

Below are some photos from their wedding day.

Despite being stopped a few times due to rain, we were able to get some wonderful shots of the beautiful Jennifer at the Dallas Arboretum.

Candis and Glenn own a lovely peice of land in Royce City. They have a small stocktank, enough room to have horses, and lots of outdoor fun. So naturally, they wanted to have thier outdoor wedding in the place they both loved more than anyplace on earth.

The weather had been unseasonably warm and pretty much perfect as their wedding day approached. But you know how Texas is….
It POURED for two solid days right before their wedding. The pretty little spot they had picked out in the backyard to hold their ceremony was flooded.

The day of their wedding, the rain finally stopped, but the only place to dry up enough to have a ceremony, was in their front yard….so they moved all the stuff to the front. And then the winds started howling with gusts up to 65 mph, and the temperatures dropped into the 50s. But they were not to be deterred. This was THIER day, AND their favorite place on Earth, and by God, they were going to have their wedding as planned.

And ya know what? I think it turned out pretty fab!

We have been blessed with lots of great clients this year, and it’s hard to believe that by March, we had closed out the entire year to new photography. We have found that the sudden onslaught of business had been through referral through many of our past clients, and other vendors, as well as word of mouth. We are honored by this and we could not be more grateful to our clients and fans. We feel that we have the most gorgeous, most media driven, and highest expectation clients in North Texas. :-) We are again so honored that you continue to choose us over other great photographers. Dallas has lots of great folks, and many who are less expensive.

So why do people keep on choosing us for their biggest day after meeting with scores of other qualified and perhaps less expensive folks? And why the price increase?

I believe people choose us because we are consistent in our skills. If you see our work online, you know exactly what YOU can expect. We give you between 500-800 images on average, of perfectly shot, beautifully lit, sharp, non noisy images that are retouched one by one by hand. Not just a handful. Not just the ones for your album. All of them.

Gone are the messy exit signs, the wires and other distractions, as well as the occasional bad skin or hair day. We don’t resort to turning photos into black and white because of bad white balancing. We do all photos in color AND black and white because it’s not up to me to assume what you prefer.

All our processing is done through the latest, greatest programs on the market. Quality is paramount to us. We upgrade lighting, cameras, lenses, albums, products, and programs yearly. We know what you expect. We know this is your lifetime memory. It has to last, and it has to be PERFECT.

All these upgrades to our quality cost money though. Each one of those photos I slave over, individually, take time. Lots of time. I refused to give our clients something that isn’t magazine quality, or done half assed. I refuse to take shortcuts in order to cram more shoots into a year. We simply won’t put our name on anything we are not proud of, and we are proud of every bit of what we do, and the quality that we offer in way of photos, prints, retouching, and albums.

And to our testament, we have nothing but super happy clients, tons of referrals, and ever growing vendor referrals.

So unfortunately, after 2 years or price increases on our end, and more time spent on things we need to make your wedding the best of the best, we needed to raise our pricing. But we think you will agree that it’s worth the extra cost.

We’ve added packages to better get in tune with client needs and budgets. We’ve expanded our offerings due to client interest.

There are places where you can get more “stuff” for less, but I think when you meet with us, and see full examples of what we offer, the choice will be more than clear. And the few hundred bucks extra will be more than worth it. After all, if we didn’t believe in what we do, and offer the highest quality that we can, and adore our clients, we would have stopped doing this years ago.

Here is the new pricing in effect for all of 2011:

First of all, check out the beautiful eyes this couple has. They each have the most amazing eye color. They are gonna have some beautiful kiddos!
And I have to hand it to them…we had to shoot this in gale force winds. (That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but it was super windy). Needless to say I spent many hours removing stray hairs. But they were total troopers though.
We had a blast working with them, and we are really looking forward to their wedding in a few months.

April descibes she and David as “Media Driven”. And they are. April is a artist, poetry fan and photography buff, and David is a film maker. They certainly knew exactly what they wanted in way of photography, and they expected the highest standards. That is why I was so honored when they chose us to do their wedding photography.

They were married at the Armstong Browning Library in Waco. This held special meaning not only because it’s a beautiful place, but because it was named after the poet Elizabeth Barret Browning. The ceremony was gorgeous, and April’s father made such a lovely and touching speech to the couple.

After the ceremony, we all went to the Palladium in downtown Waco. The place is pretty darn cool. It’s all exposed bricks and beams. April had decorated in all things “Love Birds” in hues of Tiffany blue. The table settings echoed the poetry theme using table cards named after famous poets. April also included a signature margarita with the guests greatly enjoyed.

Ceremony Venue: Armstrong Browning Library
Reception Venue: Palladium
Band: After Midnight
Catering: Palladium

Special thanks again to JD Cooper of JD Cooper Photography for helping us with yet another massive wedding. Thanks JD!

  • Another BEAUTIFUL wedding! Love the images! Last two are my extra favorites! I so wish I would have known you were in Waco. I could have shown you around my neck of the woods ;)

  • Thanks you Ashley! I wish I could have hooked up with you while I was out there, but I knew you were shooting a wedding that day. :-)

Jessica and her mother booked us on line, so although coordinating things on the phone with her mother, I had never had an opportunity to meet any of them prior to the wedding.
Boy, what a pleasant surprise! Jessica was gorgeous, Hayden was dashing, and the venue, food and decor were insane.

For instance, just check out the amazing florals and cakes below. There was no “fake” in those cakes…..it was all real, and they were huge. But I guess when you are feeding 500 guests you gotta go big. I’m suprised anyone could fit anything more after the hor dourves, and plated 3 course meal. However I don’t think there was any left. The flowers were EVERYWHERE, and they were simply amazing. Fete des Fleurs made everything so floral and aromatic.

Jessica and Hayden got married on a pink stage draped with orchids and crystal surrounded by huge boquets. One of our favorite officiants, Rev. Diane Robertson performed the beautiful ceremony.

After that, the guests retired to a cocktail hour, followed by an amazing reception. I have to say that the service at the Ritz was Bar None. I’ve never seen anything so elegant.

After dinner, Jessica’s father made a moving toast in where he removed a special, unremovable (without a special tool) diamond braclet from Jessica’s delicate wrist, indicating that she was now free. I thought that was so lovely.

The fabulous Rodney Booth Band performed. We love working with them because they get the crowd so into dancing. Everyone had a fantastic time. Including us.
We’d like to thank Jessica and Hayden and their lovely families. You guys were all so wonderful to work with.

Ceremony and Reception: Ritz Carlton Dallas
Flowers: Fete des Fleurs
Catering: Ritz Carlton Dallas
Band: Rodney Booth
Honeymoon: Bimini
